This has been an all round excellent exercise! Having toyed with the idea of going for the Seiko equivalent I eventually decided that apart from 'looks', it had to be accurate - something I knew from experience I would get from this final choice. I therefore ordered this watch, the Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Diver with Black Rubber Strap from First Class Watches and from the outset everything went amazingly quickly and smoothly with me being kept posted of progress all the way down the line. Well, it arrived a few hours ago and I'm delighted - one very happy bunny!

It comes with the standard Citizen packaging and instructions but here is something I don't think I have ever come across before - 1stCW had taken the trouble to retrieve the guarantee booklet from the box and had stamped the document in the relevant section! That's good service.

The various online pics don't really do the watch proper justice, it has very clear markings, looks solidly business like and the controls operate with precision. Obviously time keeping accuracy is something that only time (sic) will reveal but if my experience with other Citizen watches and numerous published reports are anything to go by, that will not disappoint either.

I have read some criticism about the rubber strap - I think it suits the watch very well, it has a character about it, not a straightforward and bland band, it's certainly ok for me although I may change it at some future date. Others have said that it is uncomfortable to wear straight out of the box; with that I concur but the solution is very simple - but needs much care. First decide where curvature is required and then apply hot, off the boil water to those areas making sure that the water doesn't make contact with the case, then mould the strap to the desired shape, hold, then rapidly cool in cold water. Job done, you have curvature!

Truly impressive watch, price of same and as embedded in the company name - first class service; as the big man said "I'll be back"!

Was looking to treat myself after Xmas with a new watch, saw this so went for it. What can i say, no regrets getting it, very simple understated watch. Looks so good on the wrist, very simple nice watch not too big or heavy but you know it's there. Have no problem recommending this watch.

There aren't many mens watches at this price with a 38mm case and an automatic movement, so in these repects alone it's a fantastic prospect. I have narrow wrists so can't wear the majority of mens watches which come in at 42mm and up. The detailing on the face itself is easy to read with a quick glance, although it is a little busy. However, the red on the end of the second hand adds a nice dash of colour that finishes it off nicely. The strap is quite a stiff leather and will need some more wearing in for it to look and feel better, but that's to be expected. Overall a great watch which I would recommend.

Gorgeous watch with superb level craftsmanship, as true automatic Swiss piece's should have. The style of the watch is rugged but very stylish, and all aspects complement one another. The day/date function is rare, even among high end watches. Yet, it blends into the watch's face not distracting from the face's design and its flow's as an entire unit. For the money I don't think there is a better watch for the money.

Nice watch but face and numbers were an awful lot smaller than they appeared to be online.

We bought this watch as a present for my father in law and is exactly what we were looking for. It is simplistic and easy for an 85 year old to see. Best of all it doesn't need batteries. Excellent value for money and he was very pleased with his present. Delivery time was also excellent along with the communication. Will definitely be buying from here again.
